Krysten Copeland is an entrepreneur and integrated communications maven. From a young age, she enjoyed crafting stories and narratives about people and things that were important to her. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Public Relations from Oakwood University in 2012, she parlayed that passion into a career and relocated to Washington, DC.
Over the next four years, Ms. Copeland would go on to work with reputable small businesses and agencies to propel their marketing efforts. At the age of 24, she established the marketing division of DC Home Buzz, a local real estate start-up. Under her leadership, the company’s sales skyrocketed from less than $10M per year to nearly $60M in real estate sales. She later went on to work for Delucchi Plus, a local marketing agency, where her client roster included Downtown Silver Spring, RIO Washingtonian and several apartment complexes along the East Coast.
An entrepreneur at heart, Ms. Copeland founded KC & Co Communications in 2015, a boutique integrated marketing agency. Her clients are located in Washington, DC and New York City and span from start-up tech companies to burgeoning lifestyle brands. Her clients have been featured in the New York Times, Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Forbes, TechCrunch, NPR, DCist, Prince of Petworth, Curbed DC, SC Magazine, Yahoo! Homes, Black Enterprise and more.
In addition to Public Relations, Ms. Copeland is passionate about travelling, women’s rights issues along with providing equal opportunity access to girls in underprivileged communities.She currently resides in the Chinatown area of Washington, DC with her three year old pup, Minnie.
